Warehouse & Factory Line Marking Adelaide

Warehouse line marking is the system of floor lines, zones and symbols that separates forklifts from people and keeps your site WHS-compliant. Blacktop Line Marking designs and applies that system across Adelaide and regional South Australia, in industrial two-pack epoxy that survives forklift traffic for 3–5+ years, marked overnight or during shutdowns so production never stops.

Is warehouse line marking a WHS requirement?

In practice, yes. The WHS Act 2012 (SA) requires you to manage forklift risks, and SafeWork SA names pedestrian–vehicle separation as a primary control. Marked walkways, forklift lanes and exclusion zones are the recognised, lowest-cost way to achieve it, and the first thing an inspector or insurer looks for. We design the layout to your traffic-management plan and supply a colour legend and layout drawing for your WHS file.

What does factory floor line marking include?

Forklift travel lanes

One-way routes with give-way lines.

Pedestrian walkways

Walkways and crossings in safety yellow, WHS-aligned.

Hazard & exclusion zones

Keep-clear hatching at docks, chargers and machinery.

Racking & bay demarcation

Storage zones plus aisle numbering and stencils.

5S / lean colour-coding

Colour-coded floor marking for tooling, WIP and quality holds.

What’s the best paint for a warehouse floor?

Two-pack epoxy, not road paint. Epoxy resists forklift abrasion and chemicals for 3–5+ years; standard acrylic wears in months under the same traffic. Surface prep decides the rest: we degrease and grind so coatings bond to concrete, not contamination. Anti-slip aggregate available for ramps and wet areas.

Can you mark our warehouse without shutting down?

Yes. Most of our industrial work runs after hours. We stage the floor zone by zone across nights, weekends or shutdowns, with exact return-to-service times per zone. Most warehouses finish in 1–3 nights without losing a picking hour.
